The Lime Slurry Mixing and Distribution Tank is a specialized industrial device used to mix and control the discharge rate of lime slurry in the direct reduced iron (DRI) production process. The unit consists of a mixing chamber with two side inlets for lime and water injection, a gearbox motor mounted on the housing to drive agitation and homogenize the slurry, and a multi-channel discharge trough equipped with comb-type distributor blades for uniform flow splitting onto the surface or conveyor below.
Operation is based on the continuous mixing of lime and water inside the chamber via a rotating agitator: the gearbox motor supplies the torque required to drive the mixing impeller or shaft, producing a slurry of consistent concentration. The slurry is then directed through the discharge gate into the multi-slot trough, where the comb-type blades distribute it evenly across the working width.
Due to its precise discharge rate control and slurry uniformity, this system is widely used in steel and DRI production facilities to control the quality of lime charging onto DRI material and prevent uneven material distribution.
